TBB Talks BFI LFF Special … Kemp Powers co-writer/co-director of Disney / Pixar’s SOUL

Soul is a computer-animated comedy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios.

It is directed by Pete Docter and co-directed by Kemp Powers, from a screenplay and story by Docter, Powers, and Mike Jones. The film stars the voices of Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs, and Angela Bassett.

In a one-off special, TBB Talks is hosted by this year’s BFI London Film Festival’s Mentee Critics: Whelan Barzey, Chrystel Olukoi, and Kofi Oteng. The guys spoke to Kemp about his role in bringing to life Pixar’s first black lead animation …

Soul premiered at the BFI London Film Festival on October 11, 2020. Originally intended to be a theatrical release, it will be digitally released on Disney+ on December 25, 2020, making it the first Pixar film not to receive a wide theatrical release.
